
How is the ground leveled before paving?

- Pre-Paving Leveling process - The process of leveling is something that all pavers must do before laying down the slabs to ensure high quality and lasting finish. The tools they would use for leveling the ground include level pegs which they would place at various points through out the area to be paved. Once these are in place they can then add and remove soil so that all the ground is level with the pegs and there fore all on the same level. To check that it is entirely level you would then take a spirit level and place it between the different posts making sure its level.
- Styles of paver - There are different types of paving company that cater for different needs some will cater more for the needs of industrial companies and others on intricate designs for gardens. It is when the companies carry out more intricate work that they need a wider variety of tools to complete all the work they need to. This is because you would want to make sure they can carry out the work you require and to the standard you expect.
Types of Tools Needed for Paving
There are plenty of different tools used throughout the industry of paving from the tools that lay out the plans to the cutting tools that cut the paving slabs being used. Pavers need to clear and level the area they are going the be paving before laying the slabs because if not the paving could be uneven and could eventually cause slabs to crack.
As there are many different processes to go through when putting down paving with the leveling, preparing then laying there are many tools used for the different stages. When it comes to leveling the ground there are a variety of tools used depending on the size of the area. If it is a large area they may use something like a roller, where as if it was only a small area they could use leveling pegs and a spirit level.
There are obviously more tools than these but they are mainly for use by professional paver's such as the cutting tools that you would need to know how to use correctly before attempting to use them. If you are not trained to use any of this equipment then it is advised that you don't attempt to use it at all because if not handled properly it can be very dangerous.
